Comprehensive by design
Every evaluation is comprehensive by design — meaning we look at the whole person, not just one question. We use gold standard, research-based assessment tools, because an accurate picture matters.
Most families arrive with one particular question in mind. Here's where people usually start:
-
Diagnostic autism evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults — from nonspeaking and high support needs to twice-exceptional and recently identified.
-
Attention, executive functioning, and processing assessments across the lifespan.
-
Psychoeducational evaluations for learning differences, including dyslexia, other specific learning disabilities, and twice-exceptional (2e) profiles.
-
Independent Educational Evaluations (IEEs) for families seeking a second opinion on their child's school-based assessment.
-
Comprehensive evaluations for complex or unclear presentations — including burnout, lost functioning, late-identified neurodivergence, and adults who used to cope just fine and suddenly don't.
-
Evaluations for late-identified ADHD, autism, and learning differences in adults — whether you're burning out at work, struggling in ways you can't explain, or just finally asking the question.
-
Formal psychological evaluation for workplace or higher-education accommodations, ABA services, Regional Center eligibility, or other service access needs.
When one question isn't enough
Some presentations are straightforward. Many aren't. When someone comes to us having lost their footing — struggling at work or school, can't seem to function the way they used to, wondering if they've always been this way or something changed — a single-provider evaluation can only see so far.
At Convergent Minds, complex cases get a multidisciplinary lens when they need one. That means your psychologist, psychiatrist, and occupational therapist can each weigh in. Not every evaluation calls for all three of us, but knowing that each perspective is available means nothing gets missed. Is this ADHD, or is it burnout? Is this an autism profile, or chronic nervous system dysregulation from years of pushing through a world not built for your brain? Is there a sensory piece, a hormonal piece, a trauma piece? Sometimes it's all of the above.
We build evaluation batteries based on the goals of the assessment — not a fixed menu. Tell us what questions you need answered, and we'll figure out the best way to answer them — because getting to the root of what's really going on changes everything.
